About Nampa Idaho:
Rumor has it that Nampa was named for the Shoshoni word for “footprint”. While the rumor isn’t confirmed, Nampa is the place to put down the roots its name implies. With over 80,000 residents, Nampa is a truly modern, Western city with an interesting history. Founded in 1880s as a railroad town, Nampa quickly grew to accommodate the traffic of the Oregon Short Line railroad’s travelers and cargo. Located only 20 miles from Boise, Idaho’s capital city the urban sprawl has sparked the growth of Nampa over the years.
