Anyone from Boise will tell you how great Boise is. It's that simple. Us Idahoans are just that proud and happy with our home town and state! Those reviews are just on a local level, but how do we compare to the rest of the country? I did some research and found that Idaho, particularly Boise and the Treasure Valley, is in fact, just as good as we local folks really express it to be! How about that?!

In a recent article by WalletHub (2016), 2016's Best & Worst State Capitals, Boise is listed at #6 as the best state capital to live in! Boise is considered to be one of the most livable places after comparing 4 key dimensions: affordability, a strong economy, high education standards and overall excellent quality of life.

Home owners looking to sell their home often will think their home is worth much more than it really is all because they compare it to the national average of home appreciation. I'm sure you have heard that it's a great time to sell your home, but did you know just how great? According to CoreLogic's U.S. Home Price Insight Report posted for December 2015 and reported by Alliance Title, Idaho and Washington have been placed among the top 5 states for home price appreciation! Nationally, on an annual rate, home prices have been on a rise, and we all know that, but what really matters is what is happening on a local level. Idaho Winter Adventures | Boise Idaho

How To Find A Reputable Contractor To Remodel Your  Home

Remodeling your home is a great way to increase its value and marketability. Home values are only partially based on the size of a home. Buyers often prefer homes with modern touches. The key to a successful remodel is the right contractor. You want to find a skilled contractor whose work and word you can trust. Here’s how you can do this.

  • Ask for referrals. Word of mouth is still one of the most honest forms of advertising. Chances are you already know someone who has done some work on their home. Boise Idaho, The City of Trees

"Veyez les bois!" (See the trees!) Cried an ecstatic Captain Bonneville, after spying the tree-lined Boise River, something that must have been a relief to his foliage-starved eyes since it had been months of traveling along the high desert plains with scarcely a tree in sight. We as Boiseans are familiar enough with this anecdotal account of how Boise acquired its name, but is it true?

The holidays tend to entrap us in socialization with those close to us. It tends to bring us all a little closer. I've experienced something that I greatly appreciated this weekend, that I had to take a second to share. If you're anything like me, you check the news daily and cringe at the choices made globally. One thing to accept is that this is life. Life has always happened this way with good or bad and we are just another generation. Now, I agree to disagree with myself and here is why. You can make a difference in the life you choose to live. This weekend after all of the family events, I decided to a lazy night with take-out pizza. I mustered up the will to venture into the crisp winter air, and retrieve a hot-and-ready. I stood in line, and the

For a great number of families, summertime means BBQ’s, pool parties and enjoying the great Idaho outdoors.    But this doesn’t describe the season for all of our community members.  During the summer thousands of kids turn to food pantries to make up for those meals they miss at schools, which places an increased strain on the entire system.  Adding to the challenge is the fact that this additional need comes at a time when donations to the food bank are at their lowest for the year.

As a way to give back to the community that gives so much to us, City of Trees Real Estate is  gearing up to host our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving in June Food Drive.   It is our goal to collect 3,000 lbs. of food and $5000 in cash donations to make the summer of 2015 a bit
